Hilarious that it looks like that it’s gonna be Apple that’s gonna be pushing the interoperability of photo sharing with their authenticated media rss like photocasting publishing and subscription build-in in iPhoto.
Nothing new here at all. And probably not Apple’s intention at all.
But sharing of photos between users of different photo sharing services just might become possible – also for private photos.
We’re all ready working hard at 23 to implement it right away!

A wonderful article about how simple tools/solutions created by the people who are gonna be using them can work.
If this had been the it industry someone would have tried to sell his manager an “Entreprise Continuity Solution” with a zillion options to consider, backup systems, service contracts and legal mumble jumbo.
Instead he just bought an ibook with iphoto and created a really simple solution that works in the real world.

Since i’ve got this discussion over and over with people here’s some data. Microsofts income margin for their total business is around 40-45%, but when you dig deeper into the reporting and get the data from the two business segments where they really have a monopoly the data get’s even more interesting.
Quarterly revenue from the three months ended Sept. 30 2002 showing the two most profitable segments:
Client operating systems: Turnover 2,892,000,000. Income 2,482,000,000. 85% income margin.

Any company in a mature competitive industry would die for income margins around 10-15%. Anyone ever seen income margin levels like these before?

We don’t mind that our ecosystem is 200 times larger than our company is. That’s why our cost level is ridiculously low. When it looks like we’ve done something, it’s usually someone else who did it.”
