Researching internet/email appliances. Wanna find an appliance that can hook my grandma up to primarily email and a bit of web surfing so she easily can communicate with the rest of the family.
It’s gotta be a very simplified user interface since she never have used nor wants to use a computer, it’s gotta be small and elegant, and it’s gotta be pretty inexpensive.
And what’s amazing is that there really isn’t anything on the market all though that the niche market for such an appliance is pretty big.
My best bet at the moment is the discontinued, but stunningly beautiful and elegant 3com Audrey – customizing it with a couple of hours of qnx hacking. So off to Ebay it is!
